Front mounted hopper for seeds and fertilizers BEDNAR SEED BOX SB™

The SEED BOX SB front hopper is designed primarily for sowing crops in combination with the CORSA CN or KATARA KN_S seed drills, as well as for applying fertilizers when working with the ROW-MASTER row cultivator. The pneumatic system of the hopper ensures high dosing accuracy even when applying significant amounts of seeds or fertilizers.

 

Due to the hermetic design, excess pressure is created inside the hopper, which helps to increase the accuracy of dosing seeds and fertilizers, in particular when using high application rates.

The equipment line includes various types of seeding rollers designed to work with seeds of different sizes and fertilizers. Rollers are available with a volume of 30 to 790 cm³. The SEED BOX SB hopper allows you to quickly sow grains, oilseeds and legumes, as well as apply fertilizers.

 

Setting the seed rate and controlling the SEED BOX SB front hopper does not require complicated operations. The equipment is controlled using an ISOBUS terminal via the tractor monitor or BEDNAR terminals.

 

SEED BOX SB can be used in combination with the following machines:

• CORSA CN seeder;

• ROW-MASTER row-to-row cultivator;

• KATARA KN S seeder.

The SEED BOX SB hopper also works effectively in a unit with the CORSA CN seeder. The compact dimensions of this combination provide high maneuverability, which is especially important when sowing in small fields.

 

Another advantage is the ability to work in difficult conditions, in particular with excessive soil moisture, when the use of standard seeders may be difficult or impossible.

The design of the SEED BOX SB front hopper is designed taking into account the requirements for safety and ease of operation. The sloping top of the hopper gives the operator a good view of the area in front of the machine from the tractor cab.

In addition, the hopper is equipped with transport lighting and powerful work lights, which ensure proper visibility during work in the dark.

 

The SEED BOX SB front hopper can be equipped with special application arms equipped with an electronic half-width shut-off system. This is an additional option that, for example, allows for fertilizer application or sowing cover crops in one pass.

The arms are easily detachable, so the SEED BOX SB hopper can be used separately in combination with other types of agricultural machinery.

 

To simplify the connection of the front hopper to the seed drill, BEDNAR has developed a special side support console. It is mounted on the hopper and ensures the routing of hoses along the side of the tractor, facilitating the transport of seeds to the rear of the machine.

This design solution eliminates the need to use a specially prepared tractor to perform work with a front hopper, in particular one equipped with a frame with fixed rigid tubes for laying hoses.
