The economics of victory: why farmers choose Case IH Axial-Flow harvesters

Field inspection. We asked farm owners what they were guided by when choosing the Case IH Axial-Flow 7250 combines and how the technology has proven itself in Ukrainian fields. The farms "Favorit-AGRO" and FG Kolotutsky each purchased several Case IH 250 series harvesters and are satisfied with the machinery work.

Delicate threshing, high productivity, low operating costs, and ease of management - these factors gain particular importance in today's conditions, when agricultural enterprises have to be careful about costs, making the most balanced and economically justified decisions.

"We grow grain on nine thousand hectares of land - says Pavlo Chernii, director of Favorite-Agro LLC. – this year, we purchased three Case IH Axial-Flow 7250 combines with Case IH 3020 TeraFlex 9.1m harvesters. The critical factors in the choice were price, quality, and affordable after-sales service. The first results confirmed that the proper technique was chosen - the quality of the grain after threshing is excellent, the amount of non-grain residues is minimal, and the combines perform their work very well. We chose to equip it with AFS Harvest CommandTM, which automates the settings of the harvester. The result satisfied combiners and agronomists when they tried to work on automatic settings. We also noted the convenient function of mapping yield, moisture, fuel consumption control, and much other information that is available to us thanks to telemetry in the My Case IH system. I want to thank Titan Machinery Ukraine for delivering the harvesters on time, and they are perfectly working in our fields!"

  • Axial-Flow® is a unique technology of delicate threshing that preserves the integrity of each grain
  • Minimal losses, threshing with minimal non-grain residues, and high germination capacity are the characteristics of seeds harvested with Axial-Flow®
  • Low operating costs. The simple Axial-Flow® design has more long-life spare parts, belts, and lubrication points that no need to be inspected and lubricated daily
  • More than 40 years of leadership in the rotary machinery market - in 1977, the first Case IH rotary combine was put into production. Since then, the company has continuously invested in harvesting technology and has always been one step ahead of its competitors.

The machinery that loves fields very much!

On the family farm of Alexander Leonidovich Kolotutskyi, Yury Kolotutskyi is responsible for the machinery. He created an entire ecosystem on the farm, with the main goal of realizing maximum productivity while saving time and money.

"At first, the harvesters were brought to us for the demonstration. We quickly made up our minds and purchased two 250 series combines - says Yuriy - one machine in the top configuration with Case IH 3020 TeraFlex header, the second one - with a Case IH 3050 Varicut header with a retractable cutting table, which is suitable for all grain crops, as well as rapeseed. In addition, the second harvester has expanded equipment - an inclined camera with hydraulic adjustment, a hopper for 14.4 thousand liters, and an extended auger. We don't have farmers and engineers, so we deal with equipment on our own. We are currently working on cost and time optimization. I'm a fan of convenient and simple solutions, so we have a complete set with AFS Harvest CommandTM and AFS ConnectTM telemetry. It's convenient to see all the necessary statistics, yield mapping, moisture, and other data for a complete analysis. And we also have lubricants, spare parts, and service from one supplier for a single CASE IH brand - Titan Machinery Ukraine. We have Case IH Magnum tractors, Case IH Patriot sprayer, Case IH Axial-Flow harvesters, and an old Case IH 2388 harvester, which has been around for over ten years and has stayed on to help people harvest in the gardens. I like the service, the speed of work of specialists, and the affordability of the price. I want to emphasize the Titan Machinery Ukraine sales representative, Dmytro Pikhnovskyi, who is ready to help in any situation. All technology works very well, and we work for victory!” - Yuri Kolotutsky told.

The system of automation of settings on the Axial-Flow® harvester 250 series. The automation of machine settings constantly monitors the main operating parameters, and also adjusts them following the given harvesting strategy:

  • maximum bandwidth;
  • minimal losses;
  • maximum seed quality;
  • low operating costs.
