What should the clearance be for efficient operation, and is the factory setting usually sufficient? What if a higher clearance is required?
The standard clearance of the CASE IH PATRIOT sprayer is 135 cm. And it is enough for most operations for spring fieldwork. If you need a sprayer for desiccating sunflowers or processing tall crops, we can increase the clearance by 40, 50, or 60 cm. The set consists of 4 racks, bushings for installation, fasteners, hoses, and an additional step for the operator. What is the advantage? Also, two canisters of hydraulic fluid are included to compensate for losses when extending hydraulic hoses.

What does depend on the height of the "spacers" for changing the clearance?
Titan Machinery Ukraine recommends sets of different heights depending on the crops' height and the field's relief. The most popular are kits for raising the sprayer by 50 cm. If the surface has many hills, we recommend raising the clearance by no more than 40 cm. And the most optimal is to raise it by 60 cm for sunflower desiccation. But you should remember that with an increase in clearance, the overall dimensions in height also increase, so if bridge structures limit the territory, consider it.

What additional solutions are there to reduce plant injury and improve sprayer characteristics?
It can be a set of cutters for the sprayer wheels, which allows you to protect plants from damage by the wheels and the sprayer's running system from clogging with plants. The design itself is effortless: plastic casings are attached to metal brackets, which can be placed higher or lower, depending on the height of the green mass.
Another kit we offer is the protection of the bottom of the sprayer. This kit consists of five metal shields. The front shield is fixed rigidly. The others are open to accessing the sprayer systems for ease of maintenance. The shields are painted with powder paint and almost do not wear off over time. This option is required for sunflower desiccation, and it helps a lot in reducing crop loss.

How to increase the effectiveness of applying PPT at night, and what can you suggest for this?
The advantages of night spraying compared to day spraying are usually lower wind speeds, which reduces the drug's wear. Also, due to the absence of sunlight, we have less evaporation of the drug itself and less surface evaporation of the soil. At night, plants are more resistant to stress, and some pests are more active, and this increases the effectiveness of spraying. The main problem of night application is limited visibility. Standard lighting is not bad, but let's pay attention to the sprayer rod. What are the nuances here? Nozzles installed on the rod should be visually inspected from time to time for effective operation, especially when a system with PWM solenoids is installed. It is also essential to follow the overall dimensions of the rod on the turns and the field's boundaries. We offer a set of two lights with a unique blue light range, a flux of 30,000 candelas, and a lighting distance of up to 150 meters. They illuminate the cutting torches and the area around the rod. We add the installation kit: wires, a block with a relay switch, and brackets. The lamps have a three-year warranty and fully meet the dust/moisture protection requirements IP68 and IP6K9K. Why the blue light? The physical properties of the beam with a wavelength of 475 nanometers allow you to see very well the contours of the spray torches and provide an effect not only at night but also in the evening and even on a cloudy day. You can constantly monitor the operation of the nozzles and prevent missed applications with these lights. Equally important is that the operator's fatigue is reduced, making movement at a higher speed possible.
