The potential economy, efficiency and environmental benefits of enabling one operator to do more with one machine have led to the development of Case IH's new top-of-the-line tractor – the 778hp Quadtrac 715 AFS Connect/ 572 kW (peak). It has become the world's most powerful production tractor and combines many of the Quadtrac's design features, which have been proven for almost three decades, with completely innovative solutions and key improvements compared to other models in the recently launched line of updated 525 - 645 Quadtrac AFS Connect and 475 - 525 Steiger AFS Connect tractors.

"The Quadtrac 715 is not just about increasing power," says Franz Josef Silber, Case IH Product Marketing Manager for Heavy Duty and All-Wheel Drive Tractors. “We aimed to create a machine that would meet the demands of the largest farms in our region, working with implements at optimum speed, providing the highest productivity and enabling operations to be carried out at the optimum time, even in the most challenging working conditions, to make the most of short weather windows. We also wanted to ensure soil protection through a larger contact area and fewer passes, which also means greater tillage efficiency and minimal rutting of fields."

Full power thanks to four tracks
The new 715 model, available only in the Quadtrac track format, is equipped with the first in the tractor segment, the state-of-the-art FPT Cursor 16L TST engine. Its displacement is 23% larger than the Cursor 13L TST Quadtrac 645 model, delivering a peak power of 778 hp, at 1900 rpm and a peak torque of 3255 Nm already at low revolutions of 1400 rpm. High torque is provided by a two-stage turbocharging system with an intercooler, which guarantees a quick response to the load in difficult conditions. Refueling stops are reduced thanks to the installation of broader saddle tanks on the rear frame, holding 1,968 liters of diesel fuel, 11% more than the Quadtrac 645.

The engine works with the latest Case IH PowerDrive 16-speed transmission with Automatic Performance Management (APM). It was first introduced on the recently launched Quadtrac AFS Connect range and features improved core design components.

Modernized crawler motors
The new heavy-duty tracks are significantly different from the tracks of other Quadtrac models. The track length has been increased by 305 mm, which provides more contact with the ground, improves power transmission, increases traction, and reduces compaction. The diameter of the drive wheel is 1008 mm compared to 910 mm on the previous model, and the drive wheel has five lugs instead of four, which allows it to withstand higher torque and maximize track life.

A new look for a new level of performance
Externally, the new Quadtrac 715 differs from its counterparts with a new hood design. The hood, which can be raised 31% higher (34o vs. 26o) for improved service access, opens and closes electrically, controlled by a switch in a keyed box next to the cab steps. In addition, the tractor is distinguished by a new design of lighting bodies: new LED road and work lights have a power of 25,420 lumens, which is 11% more than in the previous version. They are complemented by new working lights installed on top of the cab. These headlights are offered in three configurations, with the top configuration providing an additional 45,600 lumens of light output with 360-degree coverage.

Ability to handle the largest tools
The Category 5 hitch fully matches the load capacity of the new tractor, while the optional Category 4 three-point hitch, which has recently appeared on other new Quadtrac models, is capable of lifting to 10,092kg and was designed with the Quadtrac 715 in mind from the start. up to eight remote valves fed by a two-flow SmartTorque hydraulic pump with a capacity of 216 l/min or 428 l/min (optional).

Cabin improvements designed to make working days easier
Safe and convenient access to the cab is provided by a ladder-type swivel staircase, and comfortable movement is guaranteed by the four-point suspension of the cab. The new design of the lighting bodies provides a modern appearance and a higher brightness of the lighting, and among other practical novelties, it is worth mentioning the rails around the roof for safe cleaning of the windows and the new front wiper with an increased total cleaning area.

Inside, there are new places for storing things, and the new interior trim is equipped with new LED lighting and improves the sound of the speakers of the improved audio system. The rail system built into the upper casing and the front right rack provides convenient mounting of the monitor. If necessary, a second AFS Pro 1200 terminal can be installed on it to control AFS AccuGuide automated steering systems and AccuTurn Pro headland turn, ISOBUS attachment control, auto navigation, etc. AFS Connect technology enables logging of machine data and agronomic parameters, including two-way data transfer between the tractor and the myCaseIH online portal, and enables remote machine monitoring/maintenance by owners and, with appropriate approval, dealers.

The first European public showing of the Quadtrac 715 will take place at Agritechnica in November 2023 in Hannover, Germany.
