GIRONA GN ANCHOR SEEDER

GIRONA GN is a universal anchor seed drill designed for sowing in conditions of large amounts of post-harvest residues, on light types of soil or on fields with stony soil. The anchor seeding unit can be aggregated with the MATADOR MO seed drill. It is also possible to use it in combination with the mounted SEED BOX SB / FERTI-BOX FB_F hoppers or the trailed FERTI-CART FC and COMBO SYSTEM CS.

The basis of the GIRONA GN design is the anchor seeding coulter with a chisel. Compared to disc coulters, anchor coulters provide better penetration into the soil in the presence of a large amount of post-harvest residues, since the residues are removed from the row. The anchor coulter also works more effectively on stony soils, as it has a minimum number of moving elements that can be damaged. The machine is equipped with 20 × 200 mm LONG LIFE coulters, which ensure high wear resistance and long service life.

The GIRONA GN seed drill is built on the same basic frame as the CORSA CN disc seed drill. If necessary or depending on soil conditions, only the coulter beams can be replaced on the frame. This allows you to easily switch between using coulter beams with disc or anchor coulters during the year.

Taking into account the practical experience of farmers, the design uses a proven coulter placement system on a parallelogram mechanism. This scheme ensures uniform seeding at a given depth across the entire working width of the unit. This solution is especially important when working on heavy or stony soils.

If the GIRONA GN is equipped with front equipment, the working angle of the CRUSHBAR levelling bar or the coulter pressure can be adjusted hydraulically directly from the tractor cab. Hydraulic adjustment of the coulter pressure and working depth is also available as an option. The position of the hydraulic cylinders must be fixed using the integrated hydroclips.

The CRUSHBAR levelling bar is designed for the initial levelling of rough furrows and unevenness of the field surface. During operation, its installation angle can be changed hydraulically from the tractor cab.

The GIRONA GN seed drill can be additionally equipped with support wheels mounted on the side frames. They ensure smooth field contour following, increase the stability of the side frames and help maintain the specified working depth.

If necessary, the GIRONA GN can be equipped with tractor and support wheel track eracers. This equipment ensures the loosening of compacted machine tracks. Different options for the eracers are available - with chisels or pawls.
